Monkey Fridgie
Body:
Use the 3 peg I-cord method.

Head:
Use the 2 peg I-cord method.
Knit for 10 rows.
Fold in half and sew together with the yarn tails.

Limbs: Make 4
For thinner arms, only use one strand of yarn.
Use the 2 peg I-cord method.
Knit for 4 rows.
Bind off.
Sew to the sides of the monkey.
Tail:
Use only one strand of yarn. Place a slip knot on a peg. Wrap the same peg again. Knit off. (You will need to hold onto the chain you are forming to keep it from twisting around the peg as you work)Repeat this process 11 times for a total of 12 chains. Bind off. Sew chain tail to monkey just above the left leg. If desired, curve the tail and secure it with the yarn tail so that it looks like the monkey has a bent tail.
Ears:
Attach at the sides of the monkey’s head.
These are done just like the turtle tail. (see previous post)
Stitch eyes and mouth with black or brown embroidery floss.
To make into a fridge magnet, glue a round magnet to the back of the monkey.
Here are a couple of tips when working these I-cord critters. Use the yarn tails to help shape your critter and fill in any gaps. The yarn tails are also useful in tacking down any loops that want to misbehave.
A little side note: Promises, promises… Sigh. So, I was typing this up to post and blink – out went the power. Seems our meter was being swapped. Fortunately, I had saved some of this post previously. And school’s back in so we have heaps of homework to wade through again. And some little gal has been playing Miss Stink-a-lot tonight. And strangely, people around here think I should feed them… tee-hee. Long story short, I made good on the pattern part, but the fun of pictures had to wait until after little kiddos got off to bed. Thanks for understanding : )
Another little side note: Froggie and Monkey have been bad little critters. They refused to become as cute as my sketches. Froggie was posing as a jolly green gingerbread man until I added some white felt circles to the eyes. And monkey is pulling a funny face. Oh well, the kids still like them. Maybe the critters you make will behave themselves. Have a great night!

So talented and very cute!!! Thank you so much for sharing!
Ok, now you are making my mind whorl with ideas! Thanks for the cute patterns. Keep that mind going.
