Today is World Autism Awareness Day. Every 20 minutes a child is diagnosed with autism. Today is a day to increase awareness of autism and accelerate support for research and services. The link above leads to more information, some support materials and a list of events happening around the world today and through the month of April. Also, Autism Speaks has teamed up with Nick Jr’s fun show, Wubbzy , to help promote Word Autism Awareness Day. There is even a fun coloring page available.
Finally, mark your calendars for the Utah Walk Now for Autism event on Saturday, May 2nd. It will be located at the Utah Valley University. We attended the walk last year and it was a very neat event. So put on your sunscreen and wear comfortable shoes and join us this year for another great event.
