The afghan project has come to a close and the blankets are being stitched together. It has been fun to see the finished squares. And it has been so rewarding to read the comments from class participants. It was a bigger project than I expected it to be but I think I would do it all again if asked 😉 Like many class members, I fell a bit behind on my squares (naughty teacher!) but I was able to catch up in the end. So here is what I ended up with:
(no border yet but I’ll get to it someday :D)
(just a bit closer view)
Since these photos, I’ve even managed to go around the blanket once with double crochet. It’s looking good. Too bad I’m not keeping it. But I know the recipient will cherish it and that makes me happy. Someday I’ll make myself an afghan – or something (and then most likely, I’ll find someone who needs it more and give it away – haha) Have a great day!
