Good Morning everyone 🙂 We are having a Mystery Loom Along on the Decor Accents group on Yahoo and also in the Loom-a-long group on Ravelry. I am posting the instructions for the first part of our project here as well so you can play along if you like. You will need a large gauge loom (like the Knifty Knitters) with at least 12 pegs. So here we go:
Leaving a 10” tail, cast on 12 pegs. We will be working a flat panel. (If you have the KK Flower Loom, you can work this portion of the pattern in the round and avoid some seaming :D) Flat knit for 16 rows. Weave a 20” lifeline into the loops on the pegs. Flat knit for 26 rows. Cut the yarn, leaving a 40” tail. Bind off using the gather removal method. Pull the yarn tails to gather the cast off edge and continue on to seam the sides of your piece together, all the way up to the cast on edge, creating a tube. (If you knit in the round on the KK Flower Loom, this step will be unnecessary). Stuff the bottom of the tube with fiberfill and cinch the lifeline tight. Tie the yarn tails from the lifeline in a knot and weave them in on the inside of the tube. Stuff the top of the tube (above the lifeline). Use the yarn tails from the cast on edge to gather the top of the tube and sew it closed. Set aside.
And that is it for this week. If you have any questions on this portion of the pattern, just give me a holler 😉 Have fun!
