I’ve been fighting a headache for about a week now. I have it every morning, but most days I can knock it back with excedrin type pain killers. One day last week it turned into a migraine, despite the pain meds. Today, it’s also pretty strong.
My whole head hurts, but it’s mainly settled in around the base of my skull. This morning, it felt like a clamp around the back of my head, from jaw bone to jaw bone. I cringed at the thought of driving my 7 year old to school.
As we left the driveway, and I craned my neck to look behind us, my head felt like… maybe like the inside of a rain stick? A great rolling noise, and beads of pain pinging around in there. I wished aloud that the headache would finally go away.
My 7 year old said that it was too bad I couldn’t take the headache out of my head, open the mailbox, and mail it to a friend. I chuckled a bit at that. I said I didn’t think that would be very friendly of me. He giggled at that.
Then he said I definitely shouldn’t send it to Ginger. He went on to talk about how nice she is. Ginger used to come to our house for Achievement Day activities. And he talked about how he used to see her at recess when he went to the school where she works. My 7 year old is right. Ginger is a sweet-heart times two hundred.
After we decided that there is nobody we would send a bad headache too, he decided the better thing would be to take it out, put it in the road, and drive over it. I love the way kids think 🙂
Switching gears now: In case you were wondering, I finished the Diamond Pattern Baby Afghan.
It was sort of a gray, stormy day when I took these pics so the color isn’t entirely true, but close.
On Saturday, we picked up the materials for one of those flannel blankets with the crochet edging. I’ll be starting on that today. Hope you all have a great day!
Edited to add: Head is much better now 🙂 Posted the above, went to shower, got sick (hate that), and then the headache started easing up after that. My head barely hurts now. We’ve made cakes, delivered some out, learned about volcanoes, had lunch, and we’re about to work on spelling. Then off to pick up kids, and so on, and so on 😉 Hope you all have a great night!
