Blah, blah, blah 😉
Hi there! Thanks for stopping by. My name is Jenny Stark. I live in Utah with my family.Handcrafts have always held a special place in my heart. As a girl, I remember cherishing a sweet white and pink crochet blanket doll, a charming fabric scrap doll and a wooden cradle with pretty handmade bedding. Now that I am grown, I take great pleasure in creating beautiful things and gifting them to others. There is such a sense of satisfaction and happiness in a gift well made – a gift that is one of a kind and intended for someone you love or care about.
Over the years I have engaged in many different types of crafts, from sewing and quilting to scrapbooking and papercrafts to beading and jewelry making and let’s not forget needle arts! If I had to pick one favorite hobby, I would have to say crochet. I learned to crochet about 12 years ago and just feel a bit of serenity when hook and yarn come together. Next to that would be loom knitting. It is always so satisfying to see a hank of string turn into a beautiful thing. Beading finds it’s way into many of my days and various other projects squeeze in where they can. With a busy household to manage, I tend to gravitate toward projects that can quickly be done and with kids to please, I look for projects that are lots of fun.
When I was in High School, I thought I wanted to be a magazine editor. Or an author 🙂 Maybe write the next great novel. Now I can’t imagine my life any different than it is. Time shifts us, changes who we are and what we want. What I want most now is to raise my children to live happy lives and to be positive members of their own families and communities. Anything above that is frosting on the cake. I feel extremely blessed to be a Mom, Wife, Daughter, Sister and Friend.
Speaking of frosting 😉 I’ve been lucky enough to be involved in a few fiber related ventures in the last few years. I’ve done a few sample knits for publications, have a few patterns and articles to my credit and had the opportunity to participate in a loom knitting demo dvd too. So exciting! I don’t know what the future holds but I know needle arts will always be a part of my life.
This blog features my patterns, some tutorials, my line art and a little peek into my life. I hope I might be able to give you the joy and fulfillment that crafting brings to me and that you will always feel welcome here.

Dear Jenny,
I am trying to reach ladies who have created with the knifty knitter. I have a book written by Isela Phelps and am currently trying to locate her as well.
I am the head of strategic projects and events at Provo Craft Inc. and would like to feature some “cool” projects in our next infomercial. Can you help me?
I can be reached at cathyd@provocraft.com
thanks much
Cathy
This is so cool Jenny, that Provocraft contacted you!! Way to go girl.
How exciting! You’re really movin’ and shakin’ over there! 😀
Hugs!
Bethany~
Thanks Jenny for sending me the message :). I will follow up with her. xo
Yay for my Jen-Jen! (Personally I feel it is better you than me! 😛 I’d have to say no, because I am learning how to do that, you know? LOL! Besides, you have really cute projects done on the KKs and I like using other looms more. :D)
would also love to use a couple of your afagans. Where in Utah do you live? Are you close to PG? I live in PG and could possibly meet you somewhere.
Cathy
hello jenny, i am working on knitting the boulvard pattern that you did. i am enjoying doing it , want to make an lap throw for my 80 yr. old mother, i was wondering if i could just continue with it after i get my first sqare done, i am thinking i would like to add a couple rows of a differnt color between sqares and make it look like a quilt. and do like 3 panels wide by 3 or 4 panels long with a couple of rows of knitting between each panel. i figure if i do it this way i won’t have so much sewing to do and it will look nicer, i also thought i could also us the anvenue pattern in it as well. i have’nt had to do anything that requires blocking so i wasn’t sure this would work. thanks jean sudnik
